MEET ANNE MARIE
Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor with experience providing therapy services to a wide range of clients. I am the owner of Dream Big Counseling & Wellness. I have worked in a number of different therapeutic settings such as inpatient psychiatric hospitals on both adult and adolescent units, partial and intensive outpatient care, residential treatment center, and private practice. Within these settings, I have experience working with adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families, doing individual, family, couples, and group therapy. Clients I have served have been affected by depression, anxiety, substance use, trauma, and relationship and communication challenges.
My counseling style is straightforward and empathetic. I use a client-centered approach and work to personalize my therapy to each individual. There is no one-size-fits-all in counseling. I believe that counseling is about more than just the mind; it includes mind, body, heart, and soul. When one of these elements is left out, healing can be very difficult. My hope is to foster resiliency in each client and help identify unique strengths, gifts, and insights. I work to support the client in developing skills, such as; mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and changing dysfunctional thought patterns. I believe each of us has within ourselves the untapped ability to find the answers and strength to overcome whatever mountain is in front of us.
I am originally from Midland, Texas, and moved to the Austin area 9 years ago. I received my undergraduate degree in Communications at Brigham Young University-Idaho and my Masters’s in Mental Health Counseling at Messiah College in Pennsylvania. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP).
When I am not working as a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my four children, husband of 20 years, and two dogs. We enjoy traveling, being outside, working out together, and going on many adventures together.

Daniel’s friendly demeanor and eagerness to assist others make him a valuable asset to any team. Born and raised in Texas, he is passionate about helping those around him. When not working, Daniel enjoys spending quality time with his wife and children. As a true Texan, he never misses a Dallas Cowboys game, but he also has a soft spot for the Chicago Cubs, proving that he’s not afraid to break from tradition.
